Mayor Robert F. Wagner today proclaimed the week beginning September 11 as “Hebrew High School Week.” In City Hall ceremonies attended by city officials as well as officials of the Jewish Education Committee, Mayor Wagner noted in his proclamation that Hebrew High School education served to provide “the esprit-de-corps which teen-agers seek and offers a feeling of well being and belonging to an age group that hungers for identification as well as presenting a stimulating challenge to space-age people who require demanding tasks.”
