New York Public Housing Project Named for Late Rabbi Stephen Wise

Stephen Wise Towers, a low-income public housing project named for the late Rabbi Stephen S. Wise, outstanding American Jewish leader and eminent Zionist, was dedicated here today in the presence of Mayor Robert F. Wagner and other civic leaders. Built with State aid by the New York City Housing Authority at a cost of $8,500,000, the development consists of two apartment buildings camp rising 399 apartments accommodating 1,250 persons.
