New York ‘y’ Federation Opens Convention in Utica

The twelfth annual convention of the Federation of Young Men’s and Young Women’s Hebrew and Kindred Associations will open here tomorrow night.

The executive board will meet at the Hotel Martin in conjunction with association presidents and delegates. Reports from State President Joseph Hormats, the Secretary and Treasurer will be presented at the opening session. Samuel J. Reichler of Utica, past president of the New York State Federation, will preside at the Sunday session.

Round table discussions will be held on the subjects: “Membership,” led by Joseph Bower of New York City; “The Season’s First Meeting-Program,” Mrs. E. Martin Freund of Albany; “Senior House Council,” Louis Shockett of Buffalo; ‘The Relationship of the State Program of Women’s Activities to the Entire Federation Program,” Mrs. Rose E. Alderman of Syracuse; “Association Finances,” Samuel Rubenstein of Syracuse; “The Program and the Individual,” Miss Libbie Berman of Syracuse; “Inter Association Summer Activities,” Robert Rosenbluth of Albany; “Inter-Association Camps,” Herman Alofsin of Schenectady; “Junior Camps,” Isador Solomon of Gloversville; “Jewish Education,” led by Julius Greifer of Middletown.
