Mrs. Rebecca Seligman of New York City was elected president of the New York State Council of the National Council of Jewish Women which is holding its tenth annual convention here. Other officers elected are Mrs. Weil, Rochester, first vice-president; Mrs. Harry Grussner, Schenectady, second vice-president; Mrs. Leo Muhlfelder, Albany, recording secretary; Mrs. Judah Dresner, Yonkers, corresponding secretary; Miss Bertha Frensdorf, Syracuse, treasurer and Mrs. Mortimer Brenner, Brooklyn, auditor.
The 200 delegates in attendance, who represent 24 councils with 10,000 women in all parts of the state, participated in forums in all departments of the Council’s activity, including peace, immigration, vocational guidance, farm and rural work and service to the foreign born.
