Louis Schleifer, New York philanthropist, said last night that his family will finance the building of an auditorium at Bar-Ilan University, which the Mizrachi Organization of America is establishing near Tel Aviv. The statement was made at a dinner in honor of Mr. Schleifer, where Dr. Pinkhos Churgin, president-designate of the University, announced that the auditorium, one of the first ten buildings to rise on the campus, will be named the Louis Schleifer Auditorium.
Cornerstone laying ceremonies will be held July 28 and will be attended by friends of the university from many countries. Dr. Jekithiel Ginsburg, chairman of the educational board of Bar-Ilan University, announced last night that more than 100 courses have already been worked out for the university curriculum.
