New Zealand complained to Israel about two men arrested as suspected Mossad spies. The New Zealand Herald reported Monday that the acting Israeli ambassador had been summoned to Wellington to give “a full accounting” about Eli Cara and Uri Zoshi Kelman, who are in custody on suspicion of trying to procure a passport fraudulently. The newspaper quoted intelligence sources saying the Israelis were believed to be Mossad agents on a mission. Officials in Jerusalem and the Israeli envoy, Orna Sagiv, declined to confirm or deny the charges.
