A new “Zind case” seems to have developed this weekend when it became known that the state attorney here had moved to prosecute another schoolteacher for public anti-Semitic statements. The teacher, Edgar Fernau of Mandelsloh, is charged with having remarked in a barbershop that it was “too bad that in the Third Reich all the Jews were not gassed.” He has already been suspended by the authorities from his elementary school post.
