The eightieth anniversary of the organization of Congregation Beth Jacob will be observed during the week beginning November 23. Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman of Hartford, Conn. , will be the guest preacher at a dedication service.
One of the featured events of the celebration will be a costume supper given by the Congregation Sisterhood. Guests will wear costumes of the congregation’s early days. An historical pageant will form part of the program.
A banquet on November 28, at which Dr. Stephen S. Wise will be the principal speaker, will culminate the week’s celebration.
The anniversary also marks the beginning of Rabbi Maurice J. Bloom’s tenth year as spiritual leader of the temple.
