Newly released documents reveal that the British government monitored some Jewish groups in the 1950s over fears that they could be infiltrated by Communists. Papers from the National Archives showed that the British intelligence agency MI5 investigated the Association of Jewish Ex-Servicemen and Women, tapping phone calls and observing public rallies.
