Funeral services were held yesterday afternoon for Alexander Newmark of 517 West 184th street, pioneer classified advertising agent, who died suddenly Saturday night of a heart attack.
Born in Russia in 1871, Mr. Newmark founded the Washington Heights Advertising Agenc, Inc., Newark’s Advertising Agency and the West Side Advertising Agency.
His widow, Rose; a son, Edward H.; and two daughters, Mrs. Agnes Jaffe and Mrs. Helen Rabi, survive him.
