The Jewish origin of the Hapsburg dynasty has historically been proven without a doubt, declares an article in the local “Arbeiterzeitung.” This article traces the ancestry of the Hapsburgs not only to the Italian Pierleoni family, but also to the Spanish period, when the Jewess Paloma was the ancestress of the Hapsburgs. Her granddaughter was the second wife of the King of Aragon, Johann Roemisch II. This would make King Ferdinand of Aragon, under whom the Spanish Inquistion took place, also of Jewish origin.
This tracing of the genealogy of the House of Hapsburg shows also that for its rule over Spain and Spain’s position as a world power four hundred years ago, it has to thank the Spanish rabbi who became an apostate, Don Abraham Senior, who succeeded during the time of Torquemada in bringing to pass the marriage of Ferdinand and Isabella.
