Wednesday, November 29, will be designated as Brooklyn Jewish Day by Borough President Henry Hesterberg in connection with a theatrical performance to be held in the 13th Regiment Armory for the benefit of distressed German Jewry.
The Brooklyn Jewish Committee, which is sponsoring the event, includes representatives of the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee, the American Jewish Congress and HIAS. Members include Presiding Judge Edward Lazansky, of the Appellate Division; Supreme Court Justice Mitchell May and John L. Bernstein, honorary chairmen and Assemblyman Albert D. Schanzer, general chairman.
