Niagara University will break “without warning” the contract of any professor defending racial theories, the student body was told today by the Very Rev. Joseph M. Noonan, president. Father Noonan declared he disagreed “emphatically with the unfounded allegations that any race possesses inherent qualifications that render it inevitably superior to any other race.”
“Consequently,” he added, “I reserve the right to break, without warning, without discussion, the contract of any professor who dares to defend any of these excessively absurd principles. This decision is drastic, but I feel that before God, before mankind and before our country, it is justified.”
