Ninety Israeli firms are exhibiting a wide variety of Israeli products at the Izmir International Fair, which opened today. The Israeli pavilion, rebuilt and redecorated for this year’s Fair, is attracting much favorable notice. The Turkish Government has allocated a special $1, 000, 000 quota to Israel for the sale of products on display at the Fair.
Among Israeli products being shown at the Fair are jeeps, pick-up trucks, tires, building materials, spare parts for refrigerators and radios, chemical and pharmaceutical products, raw materials for the plastic industry, newsprint, safety glass and electrical appliances. In addition, there are exhibits by the Israel Government Tourist Corporation, El Al Israeli Airlines and several Government mining firms.
