A top administration source said today that President Nixon’s announcement that he will make a decision on whether to sell arms to Israel “within thirty days” had “no profound diplomatic significance.” Nixon announced his decision at a press conference Jan. 30. Some question had been raised about Nixon’s timetable in light of French Premier Pompidou’s visit to Washington next week.
