The State Department today informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency that it has taken no action and made no statement with regard to the representation of any organization – religious, labor or otherwise – with reference to the forthcoming Security Conference of the United Nations in San Francisco.
This announcement was made by the State Department in connection with a published report that the American Jewish Conference had been designated as adviser and spokesman on Jewish affairs to the U. S. delegation at the San Francisco conference. The report appeared in some of the Jewish newspapers in New York. The whole subject of group and organization representatives at the San Francisco parley will shortly be clarified by the State Department, the Jewish Telegraphic Agency was told.
