The Executive of the Jewish Agency does not expect any additional certificates from the Palestine government, Dr. Isaac Gruenbaum, member of the Executive in charge of the immigration department informed the Jewish Telegraphic Agency today.
Dr. Gruenbaum said that the Palestine administration will, however, shortly issue a number of immigration certificates for Jewish labor against the next labor schedule. The number of certificates granted now will be taken off the total to be allowed for the next six months.
Negotiations are now being conducted with the Palestine government with regard to the forthcoming schedule. Figures compiled by the Jewish Agency have been submitted to the government authorities for consideration.
