A denial of reports that he had proclaimed a Cherem (excommunication) against Zionists was issued by Rabbi Koppel Reich, member of the Hungarian Senate, representing the Jewish religion.

Rabbi Reich, who is one of the outstanding leaders of the Orthodox world organization, Agudath Israel, stated that no conference was held to consider measures for “combatting the Zionist danger in Hungary,” as was reported.
