No clear policy with regard to the Jewish problem in Roumania is to be expected of the new Roumanian cabinet, according to the report of the Joint Foreign Committee submitted to the Board of Jewish Deputies at the monthly meeting of the body last Sunday.
The new Roumanian cabinet consists of representatives of all shades of political opinion, the report states. Although Prime Minister Averesen is not an anti-Semite, the Minister of the Interior, M. Goga, is known as a strong anti-Semite. The anti-Semitic disorders have been checked, but further developments are to be awaited.
Dr. Leon Reich, former president of the Club of Jewish Deputies in the Polish Sejm, reported to the meeting on the situation of the Jews in Poland.
