There is no foundation to reports that the Social Democratic Party is planning to introduce an amendment to extend the deadline for filing claims under the West German Indemnification Law beyond its present March 31, 1958 cut-off date, it was established here today. The deadline is final, according to all informed sources.

However, the Socialists did seek an extension of the deadline for filing claims under the Restitution Law, whose present cut-off date is also March 31, 1958. The proposed extension would carry the deadline to December 31, 1958.
