There were no Jewish victims in the Ruthenian-Polish riots which occurred here in connection with the celebration of the tenth anniversary of Poland’s independence and the defence of Polish students of the city of Lemberg as a part of the resurrected Republic.

The riots occurred between a group of Ukrainian students and a counter demonstration of Polish students. Three thousand persons were involved in the demonstrations. Six were killed and fifty were injured. Many shops were stormed, including only one Jewish store.
