No Peace Possible with Present Conflicting Aims of Arabs and Jews, Says Arab Leader

Arabs. Dr. Weizmann’s proposals were quite appealing to us and we were prepared to negotiate.

“But since then the actions of the Zionists proved to us that we can put no trust in them and we therefore see no basis for direct negotiations with the Zionists. To put the whole problem in a nutshell there is no place in Palestine for two conflicting aims, such as those of the Arabs and the Jews.”

The Arab delegation, headed by Emir Arslan, is one of four sent by the Palestine Arab Executive to various countries to win public opinion for the Palestine Arabs. The other three delegations are in London, the Hedjaz and the Dutch East Indies. The American Arab delegation plans to remain in this country for several months.
