An unexpected contribution for Passover was received today by the Warsaw Jewish Community from Tel Aviv, consisting of $1,500 collected in that city for holiday relief there.
“In view of the fact that there are no needy Jews in Tel Aviv, we are sending over the $1,500 for Polish Jewry,” the letter accompanying the contribution says.
The $1,500 received was handed over to the Warsaw Jewish relief organization, Beth-Lechem, which is distributing Passover food to the needy Jewish families in Warsaw.
