Nobel laureate Elie Wiesel denied he had asked the Clinton administration to pardon former fugitive financier Marc Rich. Documents released last week by a congressional committee indicated that the team working to secure a pardon for Rich believed that Wiesel had weighed in with Clinton on Rich’s behalf.
