Nobel Peace Prize laureate Elie Wiesel is among those calling for world pressure to secure information about three Israeli soldiers kidnapped a year ago. On Oct. 7, 2000, Hezbollah gunmen kidnapped the three soldiers — Benny Avraham, Adi Avitan and Omar Souad — from a disputed border area known as Shabaa Farms. Since then, the Iran-backed group has not allowed the International Red Cross to visit them, and no information about their condition has been released.
