The chair of vice-president of the Senate in the Free City of Danzig may soon be occupied by a Jewish labor leader, Dr. Kamnizer, if the present coalition list in the Senate election will be carried out.

If the coalition is successful, Dr. Kamnizer will be the de facto parliamentary government chief responsible to the Volkstage. An intense opposition on the part of the nationalists is expected during the campaign.

Simultaneous with this announcement, came the statement of Julius Hevelovsky, member of the Senate, that he intends to resign from his post because of continuous anti-Semitic agitation against him.
