Authorization from the Palestine Government is required for the importation of arms to that country and no non-governmental bodies have been granted such a license, Lt. Col. David Rees-Williams, Undersecretary Colonies, stated in Commons yesterday.
Rees-Williams’ announcement came in reply to questions concerning the importation of arms by Arabs and Jews. He also told the House that the Palestine Government would continue to bend all efforts toward halting visaless Jewish immigration until the Mandate is surrendered.
