By a bare majority, a special conference of the Association of Non-Party Zionists of South Africa decided not to participate in the elections of the South African Zionist Federation, scheduled to be held May 4. The conference declared that the Association “will continue to press for constitutional changes whereby the Zionist Federation would no longer be composed along party lines but will revert to the ‘best-man’ basis of earlier years.”
