Acting on behalf of a group of non-Zionists, ##ville Laski, former president of the Board of Deputies of British Jews, today sub-tatted a resolution to the board declaring it undesirable, under the present Circum-?ances, that the president of the board should also be a member of the executive ### the Jewish Agency.
“The continuation of this situation,” the resolution said, “is fraught with ##nger to the Anglo-Jewish community.” Prof. Selig Brodetsky, the present president ## the board, is a member of the Jewish Agency executive.
Zionist circles, commenting on the resolution, said: “Prof. Brodetsky’s vestige is so high in the community that only a small section will follow the lead ## those who, if they pursue their course, will commit an act of irresponsibility ##wards the wider interests of Anglo-Jewry and the cause of Zion.”
