A group of 20 young Jewish religious students from North Africa have arrived here for intensive training at the Sunderland Talmudic College. The youths were brought here under a program sponsored by the Agudas Israel and with the cooperation of the UNESCO and the British Home Office.
The youths, who will be joined shortly by an additional contingent from Morocco, will undergo special religious training here prior to returning to North Africa where they will serve as rabbis and teachers in various Sephardic Jewish communities.
