A proposal that the problem of the German Jewish refugees should be placed on the agenda of the next session of the League of Nations was made by the Norwegian government to the Secretariat of the League, it was disclosed today by M. Koht, Foreign Minister.
At the same time the government has also proposed an international agreement on this problem, the minister added. This agreement, if accepted, will have the effect of a general regulation for dealing with all refugees. The agreement aims to place the refugees under the direct protection of the League of Nations.
Dr. Christian Lange, the Norwegian representative to the League of Nations, and Nobel prize winner, was inscribed today by the Jews of Norway into the Golden Book of the Jewish National Fund, in recognition of his humanitarian ideas in dealing with the Jewish questions coming before the League of Nations.
