Hebrew newspapers today interpreted as a blow to British prestige the results of mediation by Nuri Pasha as-Said, Iraq Foreign Minister, and the Arab Supreme Committee’s manifesto ordering continuance of the general strike pending termination of the peace negotiations.

Interference by a foreign Arab factor, while Jews have been placed outside the negotiations, is assailed.

Pointing out that in the meantime Arab terrorism is continuing throughout the country, Davar, Laborite daily, warns the Jewish community against increased Arab attacks and urges preparedness.
