The Australian censors found no portion of Cecil de Mille’s film, “King of Kings,” offensive to the Jewish people, although the Jewish community here is greatly concerned over the showing of the picture which raised such a storm of objection in Europe and America.
When labor member Maloney asked the Premier whether the film was passed by the censorship board, without the elimination of the portion held objectionable to the Jewish people and likely to create anti-Jewish feeling, the Premier replied that the censors had found no portion which should be deleted.
