A dramatic plea that Charles Maurras, Vichy editor, ##e called to account for his responsibility in the murder of Pierre Worms, Jewish ##anker in 1944, was made in a Lyons court by the son of the murdered man, Roger.
The son told the court that he was disappointed in the fact that the tribunal ##ad thus far ignored the role played by Maurras, who in an editorial on the day be##ore the banker was murdered, called for “action” against the Jews, specifically men##ioning Worms by name. The son told the court he believed the responsibility of ##hose who incite to murder is much greater than that of the murderer.Meanwhile, very little conclusive evidence has yet been introduced at the ##rial to prove that the defendants, Mare de Susini and Emil Arnus, formerly members ##f the Vichy police, killed the banker and ransacked his villa on the Riviera on February 1, 1944.
