The Government has received an offer from Herr Castigliono to cover the deficit of the Burg Theatre on condition that Max Reinhardt be called to the directorship.

Herr Reinhardt is now in New York preparing for the presentation of the “Miracle”.

The offer from Herr Castigliono, a Viennese Jew who only recently rose to wealth and power, is similar to that of Herr Bosel who has guaranteed the budget of the Vienna University, approximating $2,500,000.
