Zadok Offir, the Israeli diplomat wounded last Sunday by an Arab terrorist gunman, has confirmed his assailant was former Moroccan officer Hassan Ben Joudat for whom an international arrest warrant has been issued. Police said Offir’s condition is continuing to improve and that he was able to respond to police questioning for the first time last Friday. In a related development, an Interior Ministry representative presented to the Senate Committee for the Interior a report on the reinforced security measures taken by the government before and after the attack on Offir.
