The regulations for application of the Jewish citizenship revision decree, announced yesterday, establish eight categories of Jews who by residence and birth are entitled to Rumanian citizenship and must submit documentary evidence of their rights to the courts. Jews living in the old kingdom must submit their proofs before april 1, while those in the provinces are given until april 13.
Five additional categories list those who are completely exempted from proving their claims to citizenship. Only a small number are included in these groups. Seven other categories include Jews who have already lost their citizenship.
