The oldest Haggadah in existence today, a fragmented medieval manuscript dating back to the Eighth Century, went on public exhibit today at the Free Library here, as part of an exhibit of about 1,000 Haggadahs presented by the Dropsie College for Hebrew and Cognate Learning. The exhibit, which will continue until April 12, was arranged in connection with the Passover Festival. The manuscript had been kept in a vacuum vault at the college. It shows the Passover ritual in its very early state, with many-important variations from the traditional text currently used.
