Oman said it would suspend low-level ties with Israel in order to show its support with the Palestinians in the crisis in the Middle East. Among its moves, Oman will close its trade office in Israel and the Israeli commercial mission in the Gulf state. Along with Qatar, Oman is the only Gulf state to have such ties with the Jewish state.
