One to every 20 school-age youths in Israel has taken drugs, although it cannot be said how many of them are addicts, Deputy Minister of Education Aharon Yadlin told the Knesset in reply to a question. He based his statement on recent findings of the Israeli Institute for Applied Social Research. The drug involved was almost exclusively hashish, he said.
