Only 29 Jews were granted exit visas from the Soviet Union in October, the lowest monthly Jewish emigration in more than 20 years, the National Conference on Soviet Jewry reported. The figure brings the total number of Soviet Jews permitted to emigrate during the first 10 months of 1984 to 750.
