Only Moslems were elected to the executive of the newly formed Arab Labor party, which has decided to take a hand in organizing Arab labor in Syria, Iraq, Hedjaz and Transjordania. The executive numbers 21, with headquarters in Haifa and branches in the principal towns. There were 59 delegates present, of whom 8 were Christians. Gaza, Nablus, Tiberias, Bethlehem, Safed and Tulkarem did not send delegates, while except for three delegates from Liftah, the villages, too, were unrepresented. While the convention avoided politics, George Nassar of Jaffa, a Laborite, was expelled with shouts of “traitor” and “Zionist.” Nassar belongs to the illegal labor group.
