The Ontario cloak industry today barred work on Friday night and Saturday in an agreement reached following a joint petition from employers and employees to the Labor Department.
The agreement, in providing a five-day week, prohibits overtime work on Friday or Saturday. It also provides regular wages for overtime. The wage schedule is almost identical with that of Quebec. More than 2,000 workers are affected, most of them in this city.
