A new industrial plant for the manufacture of oil as a by-product of the orange industry has been opened in Rehobotb by a group of Jewish planters.

The plant, it is estimated, will utilize 500 tons of oranges daily, thus increasing the demand for oranges in the country and opening employment possibilities to several hundred workers.

The oil process from orange peel has been worked out by an American Jewish chemist, Joseph Braverman, who has settled in Palestine and is one of the group which has organized the plant.

Three similar plants will be established by the same company in various sections of Palestine, according to present plans.
