A modern home, providing living quarters for 50 aged Jewish men and women was opened formally here today. The home is sponsored by the Antwerp Central Jewish Welfare Committee and was constructed with a grant of $115,000 from the Conference on Jewish Material Claims Against Germany and funds locally and contributed by the Joint Distribution Committee. The local welfare body will be responsible for the home. Residents of the home are all survivors of Nazi persecution who have been left without surviving relatives to care for them.
