“Open Up Your Heart” is the slogan adopted for the 1929 United Jewish Campaign of the Jewish Welfare Federation of Detroit, to be launched on May 19. The quota of $150,000 is to be distributed among local, national and foreign institutions. Of this sum, $63,000 is to go for the United Hebrew Schools and $35,000 for foreign relief.
Leaders in the campaign announce that they will leave their business for a week to devote themselves entirely to the campaign and to strive for its successful culmination.
Nathan M. Gross is chairman of the drive. Abraham Srere is chairman of the special gifts division. Harry H. Bielfield is chairman of the general division. Mrs. Samuel R. Glogower heads the women’s division.
