The $1,000,000 Hadassah-Rothschild-Hebrew University Hospital and Medical School nearing completion in Jerusalem can absorb many Austrian Jewish scientists and medical students if funds are made available, the Hebrew University executive reported today to the annual meeting of the Board of Governors.
The students ousted from medical schools in Austria could complete their studies in Jerusalem and settle in Palestine, the executive said. It also proposed that an agricultural college be established in conjunction with the agricultural research station at Rehoboth.
