Opponents of Ronald Lauder’s participation in a massive rally in Jerusalem are taking action against the chairman of the Conference of Presidents of Major American Jewish Organizations. Twelve of the 54 organizations in the Conference of Presidents have signed a letter calling for a meeting of the umbrella organization to discuss Lauder’s appearance at the rally, which was widely seen as critical of Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak’s peacemaking efforts.
