Opportunities for a full life for the Jew were asked in the Lenten sermon of Rabbi Abraham J. Feldman of Temple Beth Israel, who preached at the First Church of Christ here yesterday.
With “If I Were a Christian” for his topic, Rabbi Feldman declared: “Humbly am I aware of my failure completely to be worthy of my Jewishness. Not mine be the contumelious stone. I ask for myself, and for my people more than for myself, the opportunity of life in its fullness, of liberty and its benediction, of the pursuit of happiness in peace and dignity.”
