Dissatisfaction with the bill proposed by the Hungarian government for the modification of the numerus clausus law is being expressed in circles close to parliamentary opposition. The opposition deputies point out that the new bill, which places the children of the middle class in the last category to be admitted to the colleges, is even worse than the present law.

In an explanation given to Goemboes, leader of the anti-Semitic Race Purifiers, Count Klebelsberg declared that the reform of the numerus clausus law was a state necessity in order to prevent the most painful possibility of a decision taken by the League of Nations against Hungary.
